JUST IN : NLC, TUC suspend planned protest in Abuja, direct workers to end strike

  The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their planned protest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and directed workers under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to return to work with immediate effect. The decision followed a meeting between labour leaders, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and members of the Senate Committee on the FCT. The meeting, which commenced late on Monday and extended into the early hours of Tuesday, resulted in an agreement that led to the suspension of the protest and the resumption of normal activities across FCTA offices. The development may bring an end to a dispute that originated from an industrial action by FCTA workers over unresolved labour and welfare issues. Sokoto LG chairman confirms Attack on Terrorist camps in Tangaza



  • Tangaza LGA Chairman Isa Salihu confirmed that airstrikes hit areas in Tangaza and neighbouring Tambuwal LGA, targeting terrorist hideouts and transit routes along the Nigeria–Niger border. Local officials described these as known routes and bush camps used by militants.  
  • Residents in both Tangaza and Tambuwal reported explosions and panic late on Thursday night, likely from these strikes.
